Résumé

Air infiltration flow through doors represents the major fraction of the thermal load in a refrigerated aera. Therefore, its evaluation is of utmost importance for an adequate sizing of the refrigeration system. The existing expressions in the literature of the air flow rate through doors are adapted to a standard configuration which considers stationary regimes. However, different factors that can have a major impact on the internal and external temperatures, such as the heat load due to air infiltration, the presence of a refrigeration system in the refrigerated area, and the ratio of the internal volume to external volume, are not taken into account. This work presents an empirical approach of the air infiltration through a door separating two refrigerated spaces of finite volumes, taking into account the presence of a refrigeration load in the cold side and where the unsteady regimes are assessed as a succession of steady-state regimes.
