Summary

High altitude and extremely cold climate in Tibet are characterized by dryness, high solar radiation intensity, long sunshine hours, and large temperature differences between day and night. The energy consumption and carbon emissions of traditional greenhouse heating methods are high. In this paper, a model of the combined Photovoltaic/Thermal (PV/T) and air source heat pump (ASHP) system was established based on the dynamic simulation software TRNSYS. The PV/T panel slope, collector area, heat pump capacity, water tank volume, and battery capacity were optimized by particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithms. After optimizing, the system costs reduced by 8.12%, and the performance coefficient of system (COPsys) during typical dates in December increased by 11.2%. Sensitivity analysis revealed that the PV/T collector area has a significant impact on the overall cost of the system. These findings provide a theoretical basis for the optimal design of PV/T-ASHP systems in Tibet.
