Organised under the theme "Towards efficient, controlled and smart Refrigeration", the 2023 edition of the IIR International Congress of Refrigeration was a meeting ground for policymakers, engineers, and researchers active in the field.
493 papers, including 14 keynotes, were presented during the various sessions, covering main refrigeration topics such as: Cryophysics and cryoengineering, Liquefaction and separation of gases, Thermodynamics and transfer processes, Refrigerating equipment, Cryobiology, cryomedicine and health products, Food science and engineering, Refrigerated storage, Refrigerated transport, Air conditioning, Heat pumps and energy recovery.
85 WIPIs (Work in Progress & Innovations) were also presented in poster form during four exchange sessions, providing an opportunity to discuss new ideas, new projects and even preliminary results.
