Ventilation in residential buildings: controlled mechanical ventilation systems and thermodynamic parameters.
La ventilation dans le résidentiel : de la VMC à la VMC thermodynamique.
Author(s) : SPENNATO B.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Ventilation plays two vital roles: protection of the building thanks to prevention of condensation and growth of mould; and occupant safety enhancement thanks to removal of pollutants. In France, controlled mechanical ventilation is required by Vivrélec and Rénovation specifications and ensures that housing complies with health regulations concerning ventilation; it is also an energy-efficiency factor and enhances occupant comfort.
