Résumé
In this work, a series of experimental tests was carried out to evaluate R1234yf to replace R22 in a window-type air conditioner. The charge and capillary matching tests and system performance experiments for the two refrigerants were compared and discussed under the normal and high temperature conditions, respectively. The results shown that the optimal charge amount of R1234yf in the window-type air condition was about 1275g and 1500g under the normal and high temperature condition. The charge amount of R1234yf was 60% more than that of R22. The optimal capillary specification of R1234yf was φ1.4×1000 mm. Compared with the capillary size of the original R22 system, which was φ1.6×1000 mm, the capillary diameter of R1234yf was smaller. In the normal condition, both of the cooling capacity and COP for the conditioner that charged with R1234yf were lower than that of the R22 system. But the R1234yf system had a lower discharge temperature. In high temperature condition, the cooling capacity of the R1234yf system also was lower than that of the R22 system. However, the COP of the R1234yf system was a little higher than that of R22. Thus, it can be included that the environment friendly refrigerant R1234yf was more suitable for using in the high temperature condition.
