THE REPORT PRESENTS SOME RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH ON MAGNETIC SEPARATION BY AN OPEN GRADIENT SUPERCONDUCTING S THREE SELECTED SAMPLES OF BROWN COAL HAVE BEEN USED FOR THESE TESTS. THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE SEPARATION EFFICIENCY IN THE PRESENCE OF ANOTHER FORCE OPPOSED TO THE MAGNETIC FORCE IS SHOWN.
