Résumé

The purpose of the article is to review the global warming effect of these fluorocarbons, particularly in refrigeration and air conditioning applications, which in 1995 encountered for 57.3% of fluorocarbon sales. The article gives details on figures, reasoning and policies adopted by the IIR and summarized in the 12th informatory note (see reference 98-0814 in this Bulletin).
