Type of article: Article
Summary
Desiccative and evaporative cooling systems are established on the market since a few years. They are energy efficient; they can use renewable energy and replace conventional compression cooling systems. Their primary energy demand is up to one-third below the demand of conventional air-conditioning systems. Nevertheless there is a big difference on the market. The sales have been stagnating for years, although the energy change requires efficient and sustainable technologies. In the article, the existing prejudices and their thrift are discussed.
