Cold store insulation.
Isolation des chambres froides.
Author(s) : PATIERNO G.
Type of excerpt: Book chapter
Summary
Cold stores are essentially made of thermally insulated walls. The aim of insulating all the lateral walls as well as the floors and ceilings of cold stores is to reduce the heat transfer with the warmer ambient air to the greatest extent possible. This heat transfer or thermal exchange between two environments takes place in three different ways: conduction, convection and radiation.
