Summary
This paper summarizes information on higher pressure blends (R-22/R-404A-like to R-410A/R-32-like fluids) utilizing ultra-low GWP (<10) olefin-based refrigerants targeted to application in HVAC&R systems. Mole-cules already in commercial use (e.g. R-1234yf) are included, along with several molecules that have recently been brought forward (e.g. R-13I1, R-1123, and R-1132a). In addition, two molecules suggested by McLinden et al. (2017), R-1132(E) and trifluoropropyne, are reviewed. A summary of thermodynamic properties and cycle performance, flammability, chemical stability and material compatibility, and toxicological properties are provided.
